Top 5 Trends to Look for in 2020

1 2020: The year of RV rentals

The next big thing for domestic travel is upgrading the traditional camping experience with an RV rental. Today's travelers are staying in an RV for sporting or music events, for camping experiences at State and National parks, and for road tripping in style. RVshare has seen an interest in RV rentals grow 650% since 2013.

Millennials have the greatest interest in renting an RV in 2020 with their families or partners in tow. In fact, about 73% say they are likely to rent an RV in the future.

2 Surprise destination: Ginnie Springs

While National Parks like Yellowstone, Yosemite and the Grand Canyon reign supreme as the most visited destinations reported by RV renters, Ginnie Springs in Florida made its way into the top five.

Located northwest of Gainesville in Gilchrist County, Ginnie Springs has seven natural springs with crystal clear water and a five-star RV campsite, making it 2020’s must-visit RV destination.

3 Try before you buy: Potential buyers are renters first

RVshare lists toy haulers, travel trailers, sprinter vans… you name it! With a broad range of inventory, potential RV buyers are turning towards rental sites like RVshare to get a feel for different vehicles before making a commitment to owning.

One-third of RVshare customers reported that being a potential buyer was their reason for renting.

4 RVs are the new hot accessory for your festival look

For festival season 2020, travelers may consider forgoing fitting six people in a hotel room, sleeping in the dirt or paying thousands for a centrally located vacation rental and instead rent an RV. More than half of millennial travelers (56%) reported that they would RV camp - in style - at a music event or festival.

5 RV delivery: A hotel room wherever you want it

RV delivery opens doors to experience travel in a new way, offering the ability to stay in your destination.

About half (48%) of respondents noted that delivery was an important factor when renting an RV.
